CUT
SIZE
The cut refers to how the facets interact with light. Diamonds with perfect proportions, symmetry, and polish optimize their interaction with light, and have greater brilliance, fire, and sparkle.
CLARITY
PURITY
Diamond clarity measures its purity and uniqueness. The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) classifies diamond clarity on an 11-point scale ranging from Flawless and Internally Included (FL/IF) diamonds to diamonds with Visible Inclusions (I1, I2, I3).
These categories are based on the ability to see inclusions, traces that nature leaves in the diamond during its crystallization process, with a 10x magnifying glass.
COLOR
The color refers to the natural hue inherent in white diamonds. Most have a slightly yellowish tint; the more colorless the diamond, the more exceptional and unique it is.
CARAT
CARAT
The weight of a diamond is indicated by its carat weight. Carat refers to its weight, not its size. One carat is equal to 0.20 grams.
